Cash Investments

Cash deposits are perhaps one of the safest and most secure forms of investments. These types of investments, like Certificates of Deposit (CD) or money market funds are short-term deposits that bring back returns in the form of interest. Money saved in your bank account can also be considered cash investment, although the interest paid on it is much lesser than what a CD or a money market fund offers.

As the risk involved in cash deposits is lower, the returns are also not great. Keeping all your money only in cash deposits will take a lot of time to increase your wealth. But this type of investment is ideal if you want to put aside some money for emergencies or unforeseen situations as it is easier to access.
