Apple is as quiet, enigmatic and mysterious as always about its new product, its release dates and other useful information. The company knows that its products are worth a lot more than others in the market and because they take over the market as soon as they are launched, it is entirely their right to do so with the growing competition in the IT world. They have pioneered almost everything, and always put their competitors on their toes whenever they present a new product. Every possible launch gets the marketing buzzing with anticipation and speculations.

iPad AirAccording to one of Bloomberg’s sources [anonymous] iPad 6 is being produced in mass production. Apple might launch it in September or October this year. Last year, iPad Air was revealed on October 22, 2013.

Now let’s see what features should the users expect; the all new automated Touch ID fingerprint sensor is bound to be seen in not only iPhone 6, but also iPad Air 2. It is likely to offer a 2GB RAM, which will enable split- screen multitasking. iOS 8 is also rumoured to be released somewhere around the same dates and it needs more RAM to run smoothly; therefore it can be safely assumed that iPad Air 2’s RAM update has been made to support iOS8.

Some say it will be hard for Apple to take our breath away with iPad Air 2/iPad 6 after the success of iPad Air. iPad Air 2 will be Apple’s sixth generation tablet, and is likely to showcase 9.7 inch or 12.9 inch display; however there are disputes about the dimensions of the new device. Right now Apple’s biggest competitor is Apple itself – it has to top iPad Air, which many believe is the best tablet in the market.

iPad Air [also termed iPad 5] is the lightest iPad in terms of weight – more like an iPad mini, but with faster processing, A7 CPU, 5 MP rear camera and better features that make it desirable. The advancement in iPad Air 2 will be A8 CPU and an 8 MP rear camera.

The pressure is purely on Apple because of iPad Air’s success; if the updates in the next model are not meaningful or revolutionary then it might not get the response Apple wants it to have. People will not be willing to pay more for iPad Air 2 when they can get the same specs and quality in less.

As it is widely believed that Apple has lost some of its glory and its market share to its competitors; the main reason is the prices of its products. Its competitors have tried to provide the same for much less. So it will be interesting to see how customers respond to this new gadget which is likely to have an expensive price tag.
