Apple Inc. (AAPL) iPad Air Going Gold

iPhone launch, iOS 8 and its issues and Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) smartwatch created a lot of market buzz. The dust from these new devices still has not settled down and new rumors have started to surface. That is right! But this time it is about iPad Air.

It seems iPad Air will soon go gold!

iPad fans will be pleased to know that according to rumors Apple will soon introduce golden colored iPads. This color option will be available with the full-sized iPad that is being revamped by the company and expected to be revealed later in October this year. This will be a welcome move for the customers who currently don’t have many color options in iPads to choose from.

Gold iPad

There is no secret about the fact that with so many competitors around iPad sales have started to decline. Apple’s biggest rival, Samsung’s new tabs have created a niche for themselves and cater to both low-end and high-end market – a feature that Apple lacks. Moreover Phablets have also minimized the need to own a tablet. Therefore the new color option is believed to be a counter move by Apple to improve its iPad sales.

With an added color option the revamped 9.7 inch iPads will be available in three colors – grey, silver and of course golden.

According to different sources the new version of iPads will follow the iPhone pattern – they will be thinner and rounder as compared to their current outlook. However let’s hope they won’t bend! Other rumored features include a touch fingerprint sensor along with Apple Inc.’s Apply Pay feature. Since iPad uses Wi-Fi therefore it cannot be said with certainty whether iPad users will have the freedom of contactless payments, which requires the NFC feature – NFC may not be present in the newer iPad versions. The new iPads may offer the split screen feature, which would make it possible for the user to have two apps opened side by side.

Next year may also bring yet another new version of iPad in which the screen size will get a boost – 12.9 inches.

It is about time that users get a newer version of iPad because no progress has been made in this area since iPad Mini and iPad Air last October.

Revamped and possibly golden iPad is not the only launch that is expected this month; it is believed that Apple will soon introduce its new iMac with Retina Display, which will be powered by upgraded Mac software, Yosemite.

According to reliable sources, the new iMacs are in their final testing stages and won’t look too different from their predecessors. However the new iMacs will have a few new features including better Wi-Fi antennas and faster processors.

Coming to the new Mac software, Yosemite … the software will allow users to receive and make calls and see notifications from their iPhone whether it’s with them or not. It will also give users the freedom to do online searches without having to open any browser.

At this point it is safe to assume that in coming days the market will start to buzz with Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new devices and once again the company will find itself in the spotlight … if it ever left the spotlight…
