Relative Strength
Strength of a stock as compared with a market index. Measured by comparing price movement of stocks over a year in relation to the index. Underperformance of a stock is denoted by a value below 1.0.

Values above these levels signify that the stock has shown relative strength over the past year as compared to index. Expressed as an equation – current price of stock/ price a year ago.
