Apple Inc. Embraces Google Inc. Android App ‘Swype’

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has finally realized that it’s certainly missing an app or two as compared to the ever evolving and producing Android system. Of course the iOS system has its own royal features, but there are certain things on Android that Apple users would want to enjoy as well. Apple has decided to indulge its users by giving them Android’s Swype.

Swype is a Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android keyboard app that enables you to type by sliding your fingers over the keyboard’s letters. This app takes typing comfort to another level and the typing speed it offers is remarkable. The Swype app could not be enjoyed by Apple users before, but now Apple’s products like iPhone, iPad etc will allow the users to use it.

The amazing thing about this app is that all you have to do is swipe from one letter to another and you’ll have your word. Now Apple users won’t have to fidget with the awkward touch keyboards. Text messaging will become smooth and the efficient Apple touch technology will also increase Swype’s performance.

Swype

Apple should not restrict itself to just Swype; it could improve its app store by offering a few other very useful Android apps as well. Google maps are widely popular in android phones and those who have used both Google maps and Apple maps will tell you how much better Google maps are.

Apple did use Google maps for a certain period of time but replaced it with Apple Inc. maps. The customers were not too happy and launched complaints on social media to bring back Google maps. It surely would have been a plus point had Apple brought Google maps back. But then again, it’s a tussle of egos as Google is a fierce rival of Apple in the market.

Apple is also introducing widgets, which weren’t present in the previous iOS. Also present in iOS 8 will be the Apple continuity system, which will enable users to answer phone calls on their laptop and even answer texts using the laptop.

iPhone 6 will also showcase some of the other android features such as interactive notifications where you can just slide the top of your display to check your text or an alarm call.

Apple iOS is good, no denying that, but it needs to offer more things now because Android in comparison keeps its users extremely happy. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has won a great deal of sales and public attention with its interactive and entertaining android system; therefore Apple can’t be blamed for jumping in on the action as well.

But the plan could really backfire; Apple is already being accused of ‘catching up’ with its latest phone. This move will give the rivals more reasons to taunt Apple. First big screens, then features of android: Apple isn’t showing any evident signs of real progress.

But the fact remains, does that really matter. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) just nailed a record number, on pre orders for iPhone 6. With that rate, it’s bound to create a ruckus in the market. Hope it stays that way for Apple because if iPhone 6 had to take a lot of sharp comments from critics and rivals.
