Iliinois based Baxter Credit Union is offering 3% on its savings account, called Rainy Day. Savers have to meet a few requirements to earn the rate.

They will have to add $1,000 to the account when they join and put in $25 (minimum) every month for a year. The maximum amount you will be allowed to deposit per month is $500. In this time, the credit union will pay 1.50% APY on the balance in your account.

After a year, the rate will be bumped up to 3.00%. In case the standard rate changes in the year, you will get only double the new rate.
