Edge Corporations
Banking institutions, chartered by U.S. Federal Reserve and authorized by it. Such corporations carry out transactions with a foreign or worldwide characteristic. Interstate banking restrictions do not apply on such corporations. Foreign banks with operations in U.S. may set up and own such entities.
