The bank was the only one paying the top rate of 3.00% APY nationally, until it dropped its rate. Savers can now avail 3.00% APY or higher on CDs from credit unions. You can earn 3.00% APY on 5 year CDs from Security Service Federal Credit Union on a deposit of at least $25,000.
At Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, you can get 3.09% APY if you have a minimum deposit of $75,000.
