CorePlus Federal Credit Union is offering a 60 month rate which can be availed by its members in East Connecticut.

On certificates of deposit for the term, the financial institution is paying 2.25% APY. You will have to make a minimum deposit of $500 to qualify for the rate.

Those who reside, worship, work or go to school in Windham County or New London can avail the CD, as can those who reside in Hebron or work in Bolton.

If you are a member with 30,000 points on a Visa credit card issued by the credit union, you will be eligible for another rate – 2.50% APY on 3 year CDs. This will require a minimum deposit of $10,000.
