5.01% APY at Southern Bank with Checking Account

04/28/2011 12:03 am Filed Under: Checking Account by Sophia Ryan

With its Kasasa Cash checking account, Southern Bank is offering 5.01% APY.

When compared to the deals provided by other financial institutions, this is quite a profitable offer. The bank’s deal is almost a percentage point higher than the best deal available nationally.

Southern Bank has been offering this deal for a few months now. But, it has reduced its balance limit from $25,000 to $15,000. On balances exceeding this, the bank will pay 1.01% APY.
