Hot off the presses today the IRS is making an effort to help the BP Gulf oil spill victims, or not. The Internal Revenue Service has opened a special phone line for those who have been affected by the oil spill.
The catch is the phone line is only for people that are unable to pay their taxes due to the oil spill. So if the oil spill has directly interfered with your ability to pay the government they want to help you.
I’m sorry for the personal rant here because this is supposed to be for “news” only but WTF! So the government is more worried about getting their money verse actually helping solve the oil spill crisis?
How about you spend more time getting skimmers and workers to the gulf to clean up this mess. This is the worst human caused environmental disaster we have ever faced and the IRS gives us a phone number if we can’t pay our taxes on time?!
