Firstmark Credit Union, San Antonio, has good rates on long tern CDs. On 36 month CDs, it is paying 1.80% APY.

The deal can be availed on a deposit of at least $500. The same minimum deposit amount can bring you 2.55% APY on 60 month CDs.

To be eligible for the certificates of deposit, you should be a member of the credit union. You can join if you reside, worship, go to school or work in Bexar County. Students or employees of a university, public school or college in one of thirteen counties listed will also qualify for membership. Relatives of members can also join the credit union.
