Control subscription services with Google Now app

Users have found that the new Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Now app has some very useful additional features. Originally, most people thought that the company’s predictive care based notification center was going to be good for tracking information on sports scores, upcoming weather patterns, and getting directions. It turns out that the Google Now app is able to do much more useful things than that, and can actually save you money.

google nowGoogle Now has the ability to search through your Gmail account, and also you calendar. By doing this it can track your activities and act as an advisor. Google’s latest addition to this valuable app is a function that allows user to set up bills, and subscription reminders. This function operates with a wide variety of difference services such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime and Comcast. It even includes a function to remind you when it is time to cancel a subscription as the free trial is about to expire. Google made the new function so helpful that it even links directly to the cancellation page, to save you time searching for it.

Part of the new functionality also allows the app to search through your Gmail account for any bill notifications or reminders. It will then create a card for you to inform you when those bills are due. The card lists the name of the biller, the amount due, and the due date. It also gives you the opportunity to view the original email. The improved functionality of the new feature has not yet been fully rolled out, so only some users have the full version. However, the roll out should be completed soon.
