Apple’s Smartwatch Expected in March, Demo Out

It was revealed last month that Apple’s new and highly anticipated smartwatch will enter the market in the first quarter of 2015. Now, the news has been confirmed by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) itself, which has set the release date of the new smartwatch sometime in March 2015.

If this wasn’t enough good news for die-hard Apple customers, Pipes developers have also released a demo for the new Apple smartwatch (called iWatch), highlighting some features the watch is going to have, including a music player and Instagram app.

Even though no specific date for the release of the iWatch been notified by Apple Inc., it is being expected that the watch will be released in the month of March of this year.

Some new features of the watch have also been reveealed, including a Digital Crown that holds a key post in the functionality of the new Apple iWatch. The Digital Crown is a sort of button placed at the side of the iWatch, allowing users to zoom in/out of the screen, and also if pressed, takes users back to the home screen of the iWatch from whatever the users are exploring, including applications such as Instagram and Calendar.

Apple iWatch

According to certain experts and market buzz, who have observed trends within Apple Inc., it was believed that multiple versions of the new iWatch would be released in order to cater to the needs of the varying customer base of Apple products. According to experts, just as the iPhone 6 had been released in multiple versions (iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C), the new Apple iWatch would also be launched in a similar fashion.

Proving experts right, the new Apple iWatch, according to Apple’s announcement, will now be released in multiple formats, three versions to be exact. One version is basic, called Apple Watch. Then there is Apple Watch Sport, which, as the name implies, is made for people who live a sporty lifestyle. Finally, an Apple Watch Edition is also expected to be released by Apple, which is a limited edition version targeted towards the higher income faction of the Apple customer base.

All the different versions of the Apple Watch will also come with varying functionality and features. The Apple Watch basic edition will have the basic features, including integration with social media applications. The Apple Watch Sport will have an additional interface for the fitness of the user, and will come with essential monitors for monitoring blood pressures, heart rate, etc. It will also come with a dedicated interface that will act as a personal guide for people who live an active lifestyle, and will use the users connected Apple device such as the iPhone/iPad to provide a detailed analysis. The Apple Watch Edition version will have the features of the Basic version of the watch, including the appeal of being a limited edition watch.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has termed the device their most “personal device yet”. According to reports, the new Apple Watch gives the iOS a “life of its own”.
