Finally another decent 5 year CD has emerged, could this be a sign of things to come? Sovereign Bank is now selling 5 year CD’s at 3.15% APY.

The minimum deposit is only 500.00 dollars which is better than most which require 1000.00 dollars. If you live in one of these eight states there are 700 branches where you can purchase your CD.

Sovereign Bank is owned by the Spanish company Santander and is currently offering the second best 5 year CD rate only slightly loosing out to Melrose Credit Union.
