The World’s second largest information technology multinational Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS 8 is its major release after IOS 7. Apple’s iOS8’s latest version was released on 20 October 2014, while its beta 1 version was released in June, 2 2014.

Here is a look at some of the most exciting previously unseen features in the iOS 8.

Closing icloud tabs is among one of the newly introduced features in which iCloud tabs can be closed from other devices. iCloud tabs let a user sync and open tabs across more than one apple devices. The user can tap the tabs in Safari then swipe upwards and then swipe left on any of the tab to reveal the delete option.

Another function introduced in this version is the interactive notifications feature, which lets app designers make notifications interactive, all you have to do is pull down the notification center and swipe left on any of the notifications to see the new options. It also lets you add GIF images to notes using rich text formatting, you just have to select the text and then tap on the tiny right arrow and then tap ‘BIU”. It also enables you to swipe through multiple drafts very easily; all you have to do is swipe downwards where you see the text new message or email subject while composing the message. This puts the email in a tab like area below the inbox.

The user can also setup specific notification sounds for incoming emails by swiping left after opening the inbox and then tapping more which gives you the required options.  Contents can also be added to create calendar events. It also enables you to add contacts if it sees one in the mail. In addition the operating system also has a number of new exciting mail gestures and hide photo feature in which you just have to hold any photo and the press hide.

iOS 8 has an amazing tracking feature, if your battery is low it automatically sends your last known location to Apple through which you can keep a track on your phone. It also creates a blank home screen by moving all icons to the next screen. This feature is pretty useful if you want people to check out your new cool wallpaper.

You also get the option of parent controlling with iOS8 by blcoking the app that you don’t want your kids to access. This feature has been in iOS 8 for a while but now has been modified a little. One of its exciting new features is its grey-scale mode that gives unique catchy black and grey theme for your phone.

You can also get zoom control with iOS8; its very useful when you want to zoom-in apps like Instagram which don’t support the zoom. It also lets you add your favorite contacts in a list. Other exciting and interesting features are hey SIRI and SIRI buys songs and indentifies them too. Hey SIRI lets you enable it only by saying Hey SIRI while it gets going.

It also lets you hide keyboard prediction by swiping down. Other exciting and new features are the quick reply option and availability of keyboard in different languages, including German, Urdu, Bengali and Hindi.
